Health & Safety – You're safe in our hands……

Blade Access Window Cleaning is dedicated to Health and safety in the workplace, we are health and safety approved window cleaners - and our history shows it.

Our commitment to this is demonstrated in our achievement and accreditation to the Safe Contractor Scheme and alongside this the CHAS Accreditation Scheme. Safe contractor has been a requirement of many of our clients particularly when cleaning windows for property Managing Agents. The Safe Contractor Accreditation Scheme for Window Cleaners is not an easy standard to achieve, the company has to show dedication and continued implementation towards Health and Safety for all Window Cleaning activities. The same high level of Health and Safety Approved Window Cleaning and Health and Safety Documentation for Window Cleaning is required for the CHAS Accreditation Scheme. The CHAS Accreditation Scheme is one of the more difficult accreditations to reach within the window cleaning industry. As always Blade Access Window Cleaning strives to show or commitment to Health and Safety for Window Cleaning, once our submission had been studied, we were awarded the accreditation without question, this enabled Local Authority Window Cleaning to commence alongside any other establishments and governing bodies requiring CHAS Accredited Window Cleaners.

Our pro-active approach combined with excellent direct management leadership has proven to be a winning formula. By adopting strategic training programmes both internal and external, we have managed to create a national zero harm work environment for ourselves and all those around us.

Completing Health and Safety related paperwork and relaying this to the window cleaning teams before any work commences is all standard practice for Blade Access Window Cleaning. Site Specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements are all produced and communicated to Management, Team Supervisors, and the remaining operational teams to ensure everybody concerned has Health and Safety for Windows Cleaning as their number one priority.

We are up to date with all the latest changes in legislation and practices for window cleaning nationally, with this is mind we have been a member of the National Federation of Master Window and General Cleaners since our very beginning, now known as FWC Federation of Window Cleaners. Being a member of this Trade Association, keeps the company up to date with the Window Cleaning Industry, informs us of all the latest training courses available and provides us with information relating to the very latest window cleaning equipment available on the market.

With the backing of our partner company Blade Access Specialist Solutions we are able to genuinely offer the very highest standards in window cleaning practice no matter how high we are off the ground, because of major involvement in the Access Platform Industry we ensure all our Window Cleaners using Cherry Pickers and Access Equipment are trained to IPAF standard and that they hold the correct training categories for the piece of equipment they are using.

All training requirements are taken very seriously, with this in mind we have a software package which alerts the Window Cleaning Operations Managers when any training is needed or a piece of equipment needs testing or inspecting. You can rest assured all equipment used on site is inspected, tested and logged. Ladders and Reach and Wash Poles are always inspected before use.

Blade Access Window Cleaning – Safety without compromise.
